| | We have lots of news at City Kitty. With the 10th Anniversary coming up, the franchise project in the last few months of finishing the final components, writing assignments and speaking engagements, and of course the busiest time of the year at the salon I think we have cat hair coming out of our ears. I just keep thinking there are a lot of cool looking cats walking around Seattle. We hope you are having a fabulous summer, and of course as always ,we look forward to seeing you soon!

| 10th Anniversary |  On Saturday, August 21st from 9-3 City Kitty will be celebrating our 10th anniversary. Some of the events will be cat adoptions by Psado Safe Haven and Meow Cat Rescue with a HUGE garage sale to benefit Meow Cat Rescue and Purrfect Pals. 100% of the proceeds go to these organizations that help cats in need. Bring your donated items a day or two before the 21st. We are taking all items. Volunteers are still needed for directing traffic, making balloons, the garage sale, and more. There is also a Hula performance at 11am. A fabulous hot dog vendor (Bruce, the hot dog guy) will be selling hot dogs, sodas and chips. AND...if you are 12 and under, get your cat outfit ready. There is a costume contest for "The Best Dressed Cat" with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. This is open to all kids. Our Open House is a great way for people to see our salon and what we do every day, so invite your friends, come out and support a good cause. We are also giving away free City Kitty shopping bags for the first 300 people, limited to one per household. Hope to see you there! |
| Vacation | | City Kitty will be closed for vacation from Sept. 9-23rd.Please plan your grooming appointments accordingly. I will be attending Groom Expo in PA. and will be giving a seminar and demo on cat grooming. This is quite an honor as it is the largest trade show for groomers. I am also now writing for Groomer to Groomer magazine on all aspects of cat grooming. In an age when painting dogs is all the rage, I feel honored they would accept my holistic approach to cat care. I am also writing for AnswersFor Elders.com on pet issues and seniors and their families and the issues they face. Check out this website for support with the seniors in your life. |
| Tid Bits | | If you have not yet visited the City Kitty Facebook page, check it out. Lots of fun pictures, and who knows, your cat may be on there. If you would like to add a picture of your cat please do so, or email it to me. If you have not visited the website lately, check out all the changes. It is much improved and we now have a web manager. On our anniversary date, Gloria from Glorious Treasures at Firdale Village, will be having a sidewalk sale to show off all of her unique animal pieces and jewelry. And you can visit her dog GG (Gloria's Girl). City Kitty is now carrying Feline Wellness magazine, the best cat care magazine out there, loaded with holistic remedies and interesting aarticles. | And remember....regular grooming of you cat promotes good health. Your cat will look and feel better, and a cat that is groomed on a regular basis is less likley to get stressed during the grooming process. |
